About

Casa Salvador Hotel - Granada

Casa Salvador is a small, family-run hotel tucked into a quiet street in the heart of Granada. With just 20 rooms, it keeps things personal: guests consistently mention the staff's warmth and willingness to help — whether that's booking the Alhambra, offering local tips, or simply being patient with limited Spanish. The rooms are basic but well-kept, recently renovated in many cases, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms.

You're well placed for sightseeing: the cathedral is about an 8-minute walk away, and the Genil river is roughly 5 minutes on foot. Buses stop at the end of the street if you prefer not to walk, and the Albaicín, shopping streets, and plenty of bars and restaurants are all within easy reach. For those arriving by car, there's a municipal garage nearby and public parking in the area. Continental breakfast is included in the rate.

What works, what to weigh

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Central, walkable location — About 8 minutes on foot from the cathedral, 5 minutes from the Genil, with buses at the end of the street and the Albaicín, shops and restaurants nearby.
  • Genuinely helpful staff — Repeatedly praised for booking the Alhambra, offering local tips, assisting with language, and even handling a locksmith free of charge.
  • Clean, comfortable rooms — Rooms are described as spotless, recently renovated in many cases, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms — some with balconies or terraces.
  • Honest value for money — A basic but well-kept hotel with breakfast included, and rates that guests consistently call fair for the location and quality.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Soundproofing is weak — One guest noted that soundproofing is essentially non-existent, though they felt the price, cleanliness and location made up for it. Rooms facing the back are quieter.
  • Basic facilities — Rooms are simple — no luxury touches — which guests accept given the price, but they're not for anyone expecting more than the essentials.
  • No pets allowed — The hotel does not accept pets, so plan accordingly if travelling with an animal.
  • No on-site parking — Parking is not available at the hotel, though there is a municipal garage nearby and public parking in the area.

8.1Verified guest

“We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is well situated in the centre of Granada. We walked everywhere, but the bus stops at the end of the street if you prefer public transport. We had a room on the third floor facing the back, which was quiet. The room was basic but clean with comfortable beds, the bathroom was a good size with a decent shower. Continental breakfast was included. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very good value for money — we booked based on the good reviews and were not disappointed.”

8.1Verified guest

“The hotel was immaculately clean, the staff friendly without being overbearing, and although the facilities weren't luxurious, they weren't advertised as such and were perfectly adequate for a city break.”

8.1Verified guest

“Everyone at the front desk was helpful and patient with my limited Spanish.”
